Catherine qualified as a physiotherapist from Brunel University, London in 1999, and initially completed her rotations at Stoke Mandeville hospital including the national spinal injuries unit and regional burns and plastics unit.
Since 2002 she has worked solely in the musculoskeletal field, initially within the nhs, but for the last 14 years in private practice in London.
She has completed post graduate study in Perth, Australia, with the MACP in the UK and has been teaching clinical Pilates (APPI) for the last five years, both for small groups and 1:1.
With her history as a gymnast and her keen interest in many sports (with a PE teaching husband and two sports mad boys), she enjoys the challenge of rehabilitating people to reach their full potential with a combination of manual therapy and tailored exercise programmes. Next year she has registered to train to become a level 4 strength and conditioning coach to compliment the rehabilitation side of physical therapy.
Used to be a gymnast.
I have now visited Jo at The Malmesbury Clinic for a multitude of ailments. She always gives superb care and a very friendly personal service with a high level of professionalism. She’s knowledgeable, helpful and honest about the pros and cons of various treatments. She will always go above and beyond with her treatments. I would warmly recommend her to anyone looking for a good physio. I have now also just started seeing her for one to one Pilate sessions which are fantastic and which I couldn’t recommend more. Because she understands the body from a physio perspective, it means you get a really bespoke session completely tailored to you and what your body will benefit the most from.
