Amy Hewitt

Amy Hewitt graduated from Oxford Brookes University where she gained her Masters in Osteopathic medicine (M.Ost). Amy has since completed post graduate courses in Acupuncture, including both medical acupuncture and dry needling. She utilises a wide range of techniques including structural manipulation, cranial osteopathy, massage, myofascial release, among others. Her special interests include treating headaches, pre and post-natal females, complex shoulder injuries, chronic injuries and children.
From Amy’s love and passion for Pilates, Yoga and high intensity sport she is very interested in the movement of the human body and recognises the importance of maintaining a healthy body and mind. She carries this interest out through her treatment and rehabilitation and exercise plans, aiding in the achievement of peak optimal performance.

Amy has worked within three different multidisciplinary clinics, working alongside Physiotherapists, Podiatrists and Sports Injury Therapists among others, this enabled her to take part in regular CPD and technique sessions to advance her knowledge on the most up to date treatment, diagnostics, and information available, aiding her treatment approach towards her clients. Amy has always been interested in keeping up to date with the most recent medical research, which has further enhanced her diagnostic and treatment skills.

Alongside being an Osteopath, Amy also works with clients who have sustained complex spinal and multi-trauma injuries, actively helping to aid their recovery, and helping them to regain their pre-injury lifestyle. This work integrates liaising with consultants, GP’s and conducting medical reports, creating a multidisciplinary approach to the clients health, treatment and rehabilitation.
