We are still open and accepting appointments at the clinic but we have introduced a comprehensive deep cleaning procedure as well as new appointment types that will enable us to help patients going forward.
We are taking each day as it comes at the moment but the situation is truly unprecedented. The coronavirus is affecting everyone and it is likely that the situation will continue for some time. Our thoughts and best wishes are with all who are on the front line and first responders who are dealing directly with the virus.
As the situation continues to evolve on a daily basis, we wanted to reach out and explain the situation at the clinic, what we are doing currently to combat the issue and what we plan to do in the future. As before, we are encouraging any patients that are showing any symptoms of Coronavirus to rearrange or cancel appointments for the time being. We have given our practitioners the same options, therefore we apologise if we have to cancel appointments at late notice.
What we are currently doing
We have stepped up our cleaning routines at the practice to include wiping down every surface between patients, with medical grade wipes and anti bacterial cleaner. This includes all door handles, taps, couches & the payment machine. We are also giving patients the option of paying via BACS instead of card payments or cash. We are doubling up on couch roll that covers pillows on the couches and it is disposed of and recycled after each patient. In addition to this we are washing all clinic linen every day and have medical grade hand sanitiser just inside the clinic that we encourage all patients to use before and after appointments.
Our practitioners are also signing up to the local Malmesbury Coronavirus help group and participating in the following scheme that allows us to help the local community during the crisis. For a downloadable leaflet that you can print and use yourselves, please click here.
What we have planned for the future.
Although we plan to stay open as long as physically possible, we are also developing contingency plans for the future. For patients that are not comfortable with visiting the clinic currently, but still want to talk or see a practitioner, we are offering different types of appointments.
For anyone looking at booking these appointments, please call us on 01666 817123 for more information, or drop us an email. We will be adding these appointments to the online booking system as soon as possible.
In the meantime we will be looking at updating our plan on a daily basis as the latest research and advice changes. We will be posting any further updates on our social media accounts, so please watch this space! Stay safe all and we hope to see you all soon!
