13/11/2018The Malmesbury Clinic will be supporting Macmillan Cancer Support by hosting a Coffee Morning on Friday 19th October. The morning will raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support and which is a fantastic cause.
Macmillan offers an undeniably vital source of much-needed support, guidance and care to those who are affected by cancer, regardless of whether they are sufferers, family members, or friends. Macmillan is a charity comprised of supporters that give their time, to professionals there for people affected by cancer. Macmillan’s staff have one thing in common: their mission is to ensure that no- one faces cancer alone.
Macmillan maintain a service that allows a line of support and guidance, and staff there to talk online or via telephone about the implications of cancer in all aspects of life 24 hours a day. They also have a series of support groups, and have information centres all over the United Kingdom in order to spread awareness and provide a much needed service for those affected by cancer.
The Macmillan Coffee Morning is an event that has taken place since 1990, and the first Coffee Morning was a very small affair – with the intention of having guests gather in order to donate the cost of their chosen drink to Macmillan Cancer Support. Though a very simple concept, the first ever Coffee Morning was a gigantic success, and so Macmillan of course did the same thing the next year… only on a national scale.
We would like to invite all who are interested to our clinic in the Cross Hayes, Malmesbury, on the 19th October.
We’ll be starting at 9:00am, and serving a selection of teas, coffee, cake baked by our very own practitioners until 11:00am. There will also be a raffle with the winner receiving a free Golf round at Oaksey Golf Club.
